Gold Exploration in Sierra Leone
Following on from a successful 2004 season in Sierra Leone, RADS has recently commenced operations in The Bo region of Sierra Leone for Cluff Gold Plc. Currently operations are ongoing, and the Client is considering the mobilization of a second, special purpose R.C. drill, to extend operations in the more remote section of the property.
Boreholes are located on hills above Baomahun village at a long standing prospect operated by Winston mines. Drilling commenced in January 2005. At the end of February 2005 4 boreholes have been completed to depths of up to 250 meters. One of the main features of this project is the difficulty and steepness of the terrain, and the head and the distance from the water source of some of the boreholes.
Due to the extreme location of some areas of the property, Cluff are considering the mobilisation of a special purpose R.C. drill to carry out drilling to depths of 150 metres on the upper slopes of the hills.
