Amlib Contract Extension
RADS' UK sister company Envirodrill Ltd has been awarded a contract for 35000 metres of additional drilling at Amlibs’ prospects in Liberia, an additional 2 core drill set ups will be established in the first quarter of 2008, l PQ, HQ and NQ wireline cores will be provided. Envirodrill has already established a successful 2 drill operation on one of the company’s prospects and has already completed approximately 11000 metres since the middle of July 2007. The new machines will be sourced and supplied by Ritcan Akwaba Drilling Services Ltd and is using plant and equipment manufactured in Canada to meet the extra requirement of this project.
Specialist Vehicles for Liberia
Ritcan Akwaba Drilling Services Ltd has been awarded a contract for 4000 metres of drilling work at Mano River’s Iron ore prospect in Liberia. A new Golden Bear drilling rig package is being provided for the project and is already in country. Because of the project location, approximately 24 hours from Monrovia, specialist transport is also being provided from the UK including a tracked Hagglund BV 206 support vehicle and a MAN 4 x 4 truck, these units will be used to ensure that support can be given to the drilling campaign in all the varied moving and transportation conditions expected.
Envirodrill Relocate
RADS' UK sister company Envirodrill relocated its administrative office during September 2007 to a facility near Leamington Spa in Warwickshire. The office suite is contained within a barn development and provides additional space for the expanded team who provide support services to its projects . A workshop facility has been kept near Bishops Itchington in Warwickshire where maintenance and fabrication is undertaken, most recently a new Envirodrill designed trailer was manufactured here to accommodate the Golden Bear drilling rig as well as the spraying and final preparation of the specialist vehicles for Mano Rivers Iron ore project in Liberia.
